Poetry Recitation Competition - Echoes of Tomorrow
KEF’s Pan-India Poetry Recitation Competition 2025-26: Echoes of Tomorrow One World One Stage is now open for registration. Open to students of Grades 5-8 studying in regional medium schools in India and across the globe, this contest gives voice to rhyme and verse and a platform for oratory, communication skills and poetic expression.
Promoting appreciation for language and literature, this unique competition from KEF’s Communicative English Future Readiness program boosts students’ verbal fluency, articulation, public speaking skills and confidence.
Each enthralling recitation of duration 2-3 minutes can engage audiences with interesting props, dramatic costumes or background imagery.
Students in Grades 5 and 6 can weave their magic on the enchanting theme of ‘Nature and Environment’ or recite the poem from the list. Students in Grades 7 and 8 can explore the thought-provoking themes of ‘Value Learnt – Through an Inanimate Object’, or ‘Society and Change – From Me to We’.
Echoes of Tomorrow is one of many exciting initiatives from KEF CE-FR to build students’ communication skills and future-readiness.

Who is eligible to participate in Kotak Education Foundation’s Poem Recitation Competition 2025-26?

Will participants receive certificates or prizes for their participation?
Yes, all participants who clear the eligibility criteria will receive a digital certificate for their participation.
In which languages should the students submit their poems?
Students should submit their poems only in English.

Do I need to prepare my own poem?
You may either recite your own poem or one published by a poet.
How long should the poem be?
The poem should have a duration ranging from a minimum of 2 minutes to a maximum of 3 minutes.
Can students submit more than one poem?
No, only one entry per student is allowed.
Can I narrate a poem in groups?
No. This is an individual competition.
How many videos can one school submit?
There are no restrictions on the number of video entries from a particular school.
What are the judging criteria for the competition?
The recitation will be judged on pronunciation, articulation, memorization, voice modulation, body language, confidence, and overall impact. Good audio and video quality are expected.
Who are the judges for the competition?
On request, details of the judging panel can be shared.
Is there a registration fee for participating in the competition?
No, there is no registration fee for the competition.
How can schools register their students for the competition?
Schools can participate by filling the registration form for each individual student.
What are the important dates for the competition?
Videos are to be submitted by 20th December 2025.
Results will be announced in January 2026.
(There will be 3 winners and 2 consolation prizes per category. All these winners will receive prizes.)
How will the poems be submitted?
Video of the poem should be submitted by the school by completing the Google form. The Google form link is in the flyer/email sent to the schools.
Will the submitted videos be published or used for any other purpose?
Select videos could be used for promotional or educational purposes by KEF.
Will winners be contacted individually before the public announcement?
Schools will be informed about the winners through mail before the public announcement.
What file formats are accepted for video submissions?
When uploading videos on the Google form, please ensure that the accepted file formats are limited to commonly used formats such as MP4, MOV, or AVI.
Can students use visual aids or background imagery in their video narrations?
Yes, students are allowed to use visual aids such as props, costumes, toys, background images, or instruments in their video narrations, although it is not compulsory.
