Kotak Junior Scholarship

• Applicants should score overall 85% or above in their Class 10 Board Examination (SSC/CBSE/ICSE) in 2025.
• They must have secured admission in Class 11 at junior colleges/schools for Arts, Commerce or Science streams in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) for the academic year 2025-26.
• The annual family income of applicants must be INR 3,20,000 or below.
• Students’ current residence should be within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
• Children of employees of Kotak Education Foundation and Buddy4Study are ineligible to apply for the Kotak Junior Scholarship.

Selected students will receive the following benefits:

• Scholarship of INR 3,500 per month during Class 11 and Class 12, totalling INR 73,500 for 21 months
• Mentorship support to guide students through their educational journey
• Academic assistance to help students excel in their studies
• Career guidance to facilitate informed decisions about future prospects
• Exposure visits to broaden students' horizons and enhance their learning experiences

• Recent passport-size photograph - Mandatory
• Aadhar Card of both the parents and student - (Mandatory)
• Pan Card of at least one earning parent/guardian - (Mandatory)
• School leaving certificate (post-result)
• The latest copy of the IT Return along with 26AS, if income tax is paid or an IT Return is filed by any family member / Form 16.
• Death certificate in case of a single parent.
• Student’s bank account / Student’s Joint Account with Parent (Bank statement or first page of bank passbook required)

The selection of scholars for the Kotak Junior Scholarship 2025-26 will be made based on their academic merit and financial background. It involves a multi-stage process as detailed below -

• Shortlisting of candidates based on the eligibility criteria
• Document verification
• Telephonic interview of the shortlisted candidates post document verification
• Final selection of scholars

NOTE: The final selection and the awarding of scholarship will be at the discretion of Kotak Education Foundation.

The scholarship amount will be transferred to the scholars' Bank Accounts on quarterly basis during the First and Second Year of the Program(11th & 12th std)

However, for scholarship renewal in successive years, scholars must fulfil the following renewal criteria:

• Maintain continuous attendance in regular academic sessions (Proof of continuity and promotion to the next year, is required to be submitted).
• Uphold good disciplinary conduct.
• The renewal of the scholarship each year will be at the sole discretion of the Kotak Education Foundation.
